Yellowknife Education District No. 1 invites applications for the following term position:

Music Teacher

Range Lake North School

Part-time Term (75% FTE)

Indeterminate

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor of Education Degree and eligibility for NWT Teacher Certification and training in and/or experience teaching music and/or band.

Preference will be given to candidates who also have:

• strong classroom management skills
• excellent communication skills
• experience teaching in multi grade level classroom
• experience teaching in an elementary and/or middle school
• ability to support social and emotional needs of students
• understanding of self-regulation and co-regulation and what that looks like in a classroom setting
• strong collaborator
• willingness to embrace technology as a tool to enhance learning
