Job Description Plant Head (Steel Industry)

Location: Bhiwadi Experience: 20+ Years

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Plant Head to lead and manage overall plant operations in the steel manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, optimizing costs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee end-to-end plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, and dispatch.

Ensure achievement of production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Implement cost control measures and optimize plant efficiency and productivity.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM.

Manage plant budgets, resource planning, and inventory control.

Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.

Lead, mentor, and develop plant teams to build a high-performance culture.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams including procurement, supply chain, and sales.

Monitor KPIs and prepare reports for senior management.

Handle audits and ensure adherence to industry standards.

Key Requirements:

20+ years of experience in the steel/manufacturing industry.

Proven experience in a leadership role such as Plant Head/Unit Head/Operations Head.

Strong knowledge of steel production processes and plant operations.

Expertise in operational excellence, cost optimization, and process improvements.

Excellent leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.

Familiarity with safety and environmental compliance standards.
