Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Functional Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Functional Consultant to join our consulting team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in translating business requirements into scalable Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions, along with hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle—from discovery and design to implementation, testing, and go-live support.

This role requires a consultant who can work closely with stakeholders, drive functional solutioning, and ensure high-quality, maintainable, and business-aligned implementations.

Key Responsibilities

Core Consulting & Delivery Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and solution designs.
• Configure Dynamics 365 and Power Platform components (Dataverse, Model-driven apps, workflows).
• Support end-to-end project delivery including discovery, design, development coordination, testing, and deployment.
• Conduct requirement gathering workshops, process walkthroughs, and stakeholder discussions.
• Design and document business processes, functional designs, and user stories.
• Implement and configure:
• Dataverse entities, forms, views, dashboards
• Security roles and business rules
• Power Automate flows and business process automation

•

• Collaborate with developers and architects to ensure correct implementation of functional requirements.

•

• Support integrations with third-party systems and APIs.

•

• Participate in solution demos, client workshops, and internal discussions.

Agile & Collaboration Responsibilities

• Work within Agile / Scrum delivery models including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and demos.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, QA, and project managers.
• Provide clear functional guidance and support to technical teams.
• Ensure alignment between business needs and technical implementation.

Testing, Data & Release Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute functional test cases and support UAT cycles.
• Assist in defect triage, validation, and resolution.
• Support data migration activities including mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
• Assist in release management, deployment validation, and post go-live (hypercare) support.

Quality & Process Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality documentation including:
• Functional requirement documents (FRD)
• Process flows and solution designs
• Test scenarios and UAT documentation

• Ensure solutions follow Microsoft best practices and organizational standards.

•

• Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes and reusable assets.

•

• Maintain accurate time tracking and project documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in Dynamics 365 / Power Platform consulting.
• Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 modules (Sales, Customer Service).
• Hands-on experience with Power Platform:
• Power Automate
• Model-driven apps
• Dataverse

• Experience in requirement gathering, functional analysis, and solution design.

•

• Strong understanding of business processes (Sales, Service, CRM workflows).

•

• Experience working in consulting / Microsoft partner environments.

•

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project delivery lifecycle.

•

• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certifications (Dynamics 365 / Power Platform Functional Consultant).
• Experience with:
• Power Pages
• Integration patterns and APIs
• Data migration tools and strategies

• Understanding of:
• Security roles and data governance
• ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) practices
• Environment strategy (Dev/Test/Prod)

• Exposure to Azure services and DevOps practices.

•

• Experience working in client-facing consulting roles.
