In this role as a senior individual contributor, you will guide software implementation across several engineering teams and influence decisions across our technology organization. You have the experience to guide us out of “our way” of doing things when needed, and to double down on our existing tech and methods where appropriate.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Teaching &amp; Mentorship:</strong> You will serve as a mentor and guide to engineers across the organization, teaching and mentoring them to grow their skills.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Code Review: </strong>You will do code review and mentor others within the organization to perform good code reviews.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Operational Excellence:</strong> Guarantee the delivery of superior software that not only meets but exceeds customer expectations, while aligning with the strategic business timelines.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Collaborative Strategy: </strong>Forge strong partnerships with product managers, designers, and company leadership to promote a culture of open communication, good collaboration, and high standards.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">12+ years of professional software development experience in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Marketplace product experience is highly desirable, with an understanding of scaling multi-sided platforms.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Strong technical expertise in full-stack development, including:</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Backend development with Python (services, APIs, data-driven systems).</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Backend microservices and REST API design using Node.js.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Frontend development with React and TypeScript, with a focus on scalable UI design and usability.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience with AWS is required, including deploying, monitoring, and scaling production workloads.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Proven leadership skills, with the ability to set technical direction, mentor engineers across levels, and influence product and business decisions.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, from junior ICs to executives.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $148,000- $193,000 annually + annual bonus depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
