The Associate Solutions Engineer serves as a <strong>foundational resource</strong> to our internal teams and external customers, leveraging technical empathy to support the delivery of relevant manufacturing solutions. This role is part of the Solutions Engineering organization and links sales, operations, partners and customers to improve a wide variety of outcomes.&nbsp;</span></p> <h3><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Technical Support &amp; Documentation:</strong> Support quoting, data organization, and creation of technical documentation for complex customer programs, including Bill of Materials (<strong>BOMs</strong>), Request for Quotes (<strong>RFQs</strong>), and specification reviews.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Internal Solution Development:</strong> Assist with internal cost-modeling and quoting-tool development to improve efficiency and accuracy.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Supplier and Quality Coordination:</strong> Assist with supplier communication, tracking of quality documents, and other aspects of the solution lifecycle from award through delivery.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Cross-Functional Learning &amp; Collaboration:</strong> Participate in cross-functional meetings to gain a comprehensive understanding of the full solution lifecycle, bridging the gap between engineering, sales, and operations.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Process Improvement Initiative:</strong> Lead a capstone mini-project aimed at enhancing process efficiency, such as automating a quoting workflow, developing a reporting dashboard, or streamlining a documentation process.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>DFx Fundamentals:</strong> Develop and demonstrate best practices in a variety of manufacturing disciplines relevant to our customers and partners.&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <h3><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Qualifications</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Education:</strong> <strong>Required</strong> – Completed Bachelor’s degree in <strong>Mechanical Engineering</strong> (preferred), Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Technical Foundation:</strong> Demonstrated foundational expertise and knowledge in key manufacturing principles, including familiarity with CNC Machining, Additive Manufacturing, Wire harness Assembly, Sheet Metal and Welding.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Engineering Experience:</strong> Approximately 3-5 years of experience in an engineering/manufacturing role (including internships or co-ops). An optimal candidate will have experience as a Xometry A&amp;D customer or supporting Xometry A&amp;D customers.&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Design Tools:</strong> Demonstrated experience in <strong>CAD software</strong> (SolidWorks preferred).</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Technical Drawing Proficiency:</strong> Demonstrated experience or coursework in interpreting <strong>Manufacturing Drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&amp;T)</strong>.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Data Management:</strong> Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail in managing multi-line data (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, or ERP/CRM systems).</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Communication:</strong> Effective communicator and team collaborator with a strong interest in bridging engineering and business.
