Project Manager Commercial Operations in Pharma Industry

Looking for a Pharma Industry Professional for Project Manager - Commercial Operations Position

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

• Lead and manage cross-functional commercial projects from initiation through execution and closeout.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and resource allocations.
• Drive accountability across teams to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved.
• Facilitate project governance meetings, status reporting, and executive communications.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and operational bottlenecks.

Commercial Operations Support

• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Commercial Excellence teams to support product and commercial application launches and maintenance.
• Coordinate activities related to promotional review processes and commercialization readiness.
• Support implementation of CRM systems, commercial analytics tools, and operational process improvements.
• Ensure alignment between commercial objectives and operational capabilities.

FDA & Regulatory Compliance

Ensure project activities align with FDA regulations, quality standards, and internal compliance procedures.

• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and Quality teams
• Support audit readiness and ensure proper project documentation practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Serve as the central point of coordination among internal stakeholders and external partners/vendors.
• Build strong relationships across departments to drive alignment and timely decision-making.
• Communicate project priorities, updates, and escalations effectively to leadership teams.

Process Improvement & Change Management

• Identify opportunities to improve commercial processes, workflows, and operational efficiencies.
• Lead change management activities associated with new systems, products, or business processes.
• Promote best practices in project management and operational execution.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience within an FDA-regulated industry (medical device, pharmaceuticals, biotech, diagnostics, or healthcare).
• Strong understanding of commercial operations and cross-functional business processes.
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, or related certification.
• Experience supporting product launches in regulated environments.
• Familiarity with promotional review processes (MLR), labeling, or claims management.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, or commercial analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of GMP, GxP, ISO standards, or related quality frameworks.
