Data Scientist – AI Applications at Xenon

Join Xenon Pharmaceuticals as a Data Scientist to innovate AI-powered applications for scientists. This full-time hybrid role focuses on preclinical data visibility using Python and LLM integration. In this 12-month contract, you will collaborate within the Computational Science & AI team.

The role requires expertise in data engineering, machine learning models, and full-stack web application development. Key to your success is effectively liaising with Research Scientists and IT managers while utilizing Oracle-backed scientific data in Linux environments. Key Responsibilities:

• Design AI systems for querying scientific data
• Integrate large language models into workflows
• Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines
• Build scalable ETL data models and applications
• Document systems and workflows effectively Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
• Advanced Python programming skills
• Experience in SQL and relational databases
• Knowledge of LLMs and AI frameworks
• Experience in Docker for containerized applications Excel in data analysis, LLM orchestration, and AI system development to advance scientific research at Xenon.
