We are Visioneers. We are WSP. The Opportunity Join WSP’s Wildlife team as a Wildlife Biologis t and play a key role in supporting resource development projects across Saskatchewan, as well as western and northern Canada.

This is a permanent opportunity to work alongside experienced wildlife professionals on meaningful projects that balance development with environmental stewardship. You’ll gain hands‑on field experience, contribute to high‑quality technical deliverables, and grow your career within a collaborative, science‑driven team.

Your Impact

  • Conduct general and species‑specific wildlife surveys, including surveys for Species at Risk
  • Perform bird surveys such as point counts and nest sweeps to support regulatory compliance
  • Support wildlife assessments and contribute to technical and field reporting
  • Collect, manage, and enter field data accurately and efficiently
  • Work in remote field locations for extended periods (1–2 weeks at a time)
  • Assist senior biologists with project delivery and proposal development
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support responsible resource development

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biology, Ecology, Wildlife Management, or a related discipline (advanced degree considered an asset)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience conducting wildlife surveys
  • Strong wildlife identification skills, particularly avian identification
  • Demonstrated experience with bird surveys and wildlife field methods
  • Solid understanding of the Migratory Bird Convention Act and provincial wildlife regulations
  • Experience with digital data collection, data management, and QA/QC processes
  • Strong technical writing and data analysis skills
  • Willingness to travel, work flexible hours, and perform fieldwork in varied environmental conditions
  • Assets include:
  • Experience providing nest mitigation measures
  • Experience leading or coordinating field crews
  • Experience designing wildlife studies

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT:

$34.90 – $48.10 per hour

MB & ON:

$32.30 – $44.50 per hour

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC:

$30.20 – $41.60 per hour
