What You will be Doing:
Onboarding
- Oversee the onboarding process for all new hires including conducting HR Orientations, enrolling employees onto various systems, administrating surveys and reporting data
- Respond to new hire inquiries promptly, efficiently and accurately to ensure a positive onboarding experience.
- Liaise with hiring managers to coordinate first day details.
Offboarding
- Supporting the offboarding of exiting employees
- Conduct, collect and analyze data via Exit Interviews to provide recommendations to the HRBP’s and People Team for retention strategies
Payroll Administration
- Coordination of payroll summary reports on a semi-monthly cadence
- Maintain HRIS (ADP Workforce Now) with up-to-date employee data to ensure accurate payroll processing and data integrity
- Calculate staff entitlements surrounding medical leaves, vacation accrual, etc.
People Data & Reporting
- Create, collate, update and utilize HR metrics to analyze trends and data
- Update, maintain and present reports with KPIs such as attrition rates, vacation usage and hires by client group/department
- Assist with ad-hoc projects on as-need basis
Policy Interpretation & Application
- Maintain knowledge of HR policies and ON/QC Provincial employment legislation/regulatory changes
- Respond and handle all employee inquiries regarding benefits, leave of absences, paid time off, etc., with the utmost confidentiality.
- Support the HRBP’s in the Performance Review process ensuring timely adherence to policy and deadlines is met by managers
What You Bring:
- University Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources or any related field
- Less than 1 year of experience within Human Resources, Recruitment and/or related field.
- Strong client service skills
- Ability to work successfully within a team as well as independently
- Establish and maintain relationships interdepartmentally as well as with those outside the team
- You have great teamwork skills and are excited about collaborating with others to create a positive impact
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- You are results-oriented and have a demonstrated ability to handle multiple completing priorities
- Comfortable with change and managing tight deadlines
- Extremely well-organized with a high level of attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & SharePoint)
- Comfort level with learning new systems and exploring new technology
- Experience working with HRIS/ADP Workforce Now is an asset
