As a Senior Data Center Network Engineer at Worldwide Technology (WWT), you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing network infrastructure to support the organization's needs, including data center networking, virtualization, and cloud computing. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing network infrastructure, including data center networking, virtualization, and cloud computing.
- Configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Implementing network security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Troubleshooting network issues and performing regular maintenance and upgrades.
- Collaborating with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure.
- Staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies in network engineering.
- Participating in the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Documenting network infrastructure and configurations for reference and troubleshooting purposes.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and partners for smooth operation of the network infrastructure.
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Extensive knowledge in MPLS, OSPF, BGP, & NDFC.
- Good understanding of Leaf/Spine, Cisco ACI (ACI experience NOT required).
- Extensive knowledge of the entire Cisco router/switching product line.
- Knowledge of F5, Palo Alto, Brocade (FCIP), Arista hardware, and software is a plus.
- 5-10+ years of network engineering experience within large organizations.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
