We are looking for 2 IT Business Analysts to join our Guidewire Product Teams at the WSIB. In these roles you will work directly with the Guidewire Insurance Suite, which includes Claim Centre, Policy Centre, Billing Centre and Contact Manager.
Experience with Guidewire Claim Centre and claim management processes, or with Guidewire Policy and Billing Centre and account management processes, is preferred. Lead requirements elicitation activities with stakeholders using a broad range of tools and techniques, including brainstorming, stakeholder evaluation, problem identification, process mapping, use cases/user story/business scenario development, and workshop facilitation. Document business requirements and obtain sign‑off on Business Requirement documents, System Functional and Non‑functional Requirements, Use Cases and Functional Specification documents.
Perform requirements analysis to ensure quality of the requirements using techniques such as Business Process Modelling notation (BPMN), UML, Data Flow diagram, gap analysis, root cause analysis. Provide input for IT Solutioning by delivering Business Requirements and necessary solution requirements. Lead process review and improvement initiatives.
Evaluate and document current business processes, uncover areas for improvement, prepare detailed requirements analysis for solutioning, and identify opportunities and strategies to improve business efficiency. Deliver a broad understanding of all WSIB business processes to provide advice, consultation and technical guidance required by the business to ensure effective planning, analysis and design of new business changes. re‑engineer and improve business systems, services and programs to support divisional and organizational plans. Participate in the development of project QA test scenarios and test cases.
Collaborate on testing activities with the development team to ensure all relevant stakeholder requirements are captured and acceptance criteria are satisfied.
Act as a project leader when required: manage scope, timelines, resources and risks; document business cases, stakeholder analysis, fit‑gap analysis, story maps, and provide ongoing status updates. Act as a mediator between business and technical groups, translating technical information to obtain consensus when dealing with multiple business area requirements. Facilitate program development by identifying, investigating, recommending and overseeing the implementation of solutions to improve deficiencies in business services, processes, and programs.
Provide systems, business, technical and analytical expertise to staff, management, workers, employers, representatives, vendors and government agencies. Participate in corporate and divisional projects, initiatives and system support. University completion at undergraduate level with a specialty focus in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Commerce, Science or Social Science, and an Advanced or Associates’ Certificate in Business Analysis endorsed by IIBA.
