Job Description
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5-10 years of dance training experience
- At least 2+ years of teaching experience, from beginner to intermediate/ advanced levels
- Proficiency in one or more styles, including: Hip-Hop, K-pop, Jazz, JazzFunk, Heels, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap, Afro (additional styles are a plus)
Technical & Teaching Ability
- Ability to teach across levels from foundation/beginner to intermediate/advanced, or strong expertise in a specific level with well- structured, level-appropriate training design
- Experience designing engaging class structures for adult learners with different goals (fitness, technique, performance, etc.)
- Ability to break down choreography clearly and adapt to different learning speeds
- Comfortable teaching single drop-in classes and adjusting to a flexible class flow
Personality & Soft Skills
- Positive, engaging, and able to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Strong communication skills with students from diverse backgrounds
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
- Passionate about dance and committed to student growth and experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience preparing students for showcases, filming, or competitions
- Basic knowledge of injury prevention and safe training practices
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to)
- Availability for weekends, events, or performances
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
