Role & responsibilities

To lead and strengthen the organizations security, vigilance and compliance framework by ensuring effective asset protection, risk mitigation, investigation management, workforce discipline, and statutory compliance across plant and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Security Leadership & Asset Protection

• Develop and implement organization-wide security strategies, policies, and SOPs for plant, office, warehouse, and township operations.
• Ensure protection of company assets, infrastructure, manpower, materials, and confidential information.
• Lead physical security operations including access control, surveillance systems, visitor management, and emergency response planning.
• Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and periodic security audits.
• Drive crisis management, disaster preparedness, and incident response mechanisms.
• Manage and monitor outsourced security agencies, deployment planning, and performance evaluation.
• Coordinate VIP security arrangements and high-risk movement management whenever required.

Fraud Investigation & Law Enforcement Coordination

• Lead investigations related to theft, pilferage, fraud, misconduct, unauthorized activities, and security breaches.
• Conduct vigilance inquiries while maintaining confidentiality and procedural compliance.
• Coordinate with local police, intelligence agencies, legal authorities, and government departments on security and investigation matters.
• Support disciplinary proceedings, domestic inquiries, and evidence documentation.
• Prepare investigation reports, incident analysis, and corrective action recommendations.
• Ensure preventive vigilance measures to minimize operational and financial risks.

Technology-Driven Vigilance & Automation

• Implement and monitor advanced security technologies including CCTV surveillance, biometric systems, access control, GPS tracking, and digital monitoring tools.
• Drive automation initiatives in security and vigilance processes for enhanced operational efficiency.
• Monitor security dashboards, analytics, and MIS reporting systems.
• Identify opportunities for digital transformation in surveillance, incident reporting, and compliance tracking.
• Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of all electronic security systems.

Compliance, Safety & Governance

• Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, labour laws, standing orders, and company security policies.
• Coordinate with EHS, HR, and plant operations teams to ensure workplace safety and compliance.
• Conduct awareness programs on safety, discipline, ethics, and security protocols.
• Monitor contract labour compliance, gate discipline, and workplace conduct.
• Maintain records and documentation related to compliance audits, investigations, incidents, and statutory requirements.
• Support business continuity planning and governance initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

Must have Ex -service exp such as the army, navy, police or air force) .Must have experience working with any manufacturing Plant locations.

• Strong experience in Security, Vigilance, Industrial Relations, and compliance management.
• Proven exposure in handling unionized workforce and manufacturing plant environments.
• Sound knowledge of labour laws, investigation procedures, and security systems.
• Robust leadership, negotiation, and crisis management capabilities.
• Experience in steel, mining, cement, chemical, power, heavy engineering, or manufacturing sectors preferred
