Role: UX Designer

Title: AVP

Location: Montreal, QC(Day 1 Onsite/Hybrid) – Fulltime

Mode of Work: 3 days/week onsite required

Required Experience: 7+ years

Position Overview

We are looking for an accomplished UX Experience Designer with deep experience in user‑centered design, enterprise UX strategy, and modernization of large‑scale digital products. In this role, you will lead the end‑to‑end UX transformation for our entire product fleet, ensuring consistency, usability, accessibility, and future‑ready design standards. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to define a unified design vision and deliver intuitive, modern, and high‑impact user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

UX Strategy & Modernization Leadership

• Lead the UX modernization roadmap for the entire product fleet, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology strategy.
• Establish and evolve design systems, UX standards, and best practices for scalable adoption across teams.
• Conduct UX audits, identify modernization opportunities, and define actionable improvement plans.
• Champion user‑centered design principles and advocate for UX excellence across the organization.

User Experience Design

• Drive end‑to‑end UX design including research, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
• Translate complex workflows into intuitive, modern, and accessible user experiences.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure design feasibility, technical alignment, and seamless implementation.
• Create high‑fidelity designs and interactive prototypes that reflect modern UI/UX trends.

Research & Problem Solving

• Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, and data‑driven analysis to uncover pain points and opportunities.
• Solve complex UX challenges with a balance of creativity, logic, and user empathy.
• Validate design decisions through usability testing, A/B testing, and iterative refinement.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands‑on UX design experience across web and mobile platforms.
• Proven experience leading large‑scale UX modernization or redesign initiatives.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in interaction design, visual design, and design systems.
• Proficiency in modern design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.).
• Solid understanding of UX research methods, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments and drive consensus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise platforms, aviation, transportation, or complex operational systems.
• Familiarity with front‑end technologies to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
• Background in service design, workflow optimization, or human‑factors design.
• Experience building or scaling design systems.
