Job Description

Role & responsibilities The SCCM and Intune Engineer is responsible for the administration, configuration, Patching, Image Management and support of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Intune environments. This role ensures efficient and reliable operation of the infrastructure supporting endpoint management, software distribution, patch management, and mobile device management.

Key Responsibilities:

SCCM:

  • Administer and maintain the SCCM infrastructure, including server configuration, site management, and client deployment.
  • Patching of servers and end points
  • Troubleshooting end user issues (app install failures, Image related issues etc)
  • Implement and manage software distribution, application packaging, and operating system deployment (OSD) tasks.
  • Configure and monitor patch management processes, ensuring timely deployment of updates and patches.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SCCM-related issues, including client and server-side problems.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including database backups, system updates, and performance tuning.

Intune:

  • Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM).
  • Patch management
  • Develop and enforce end user device and application policies in alignment with organizational security standards.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Intune deployment and compliance issues.
  • Integrate Intune with other Microsoft services, such as Azure Active Directory (AAD) and Microsoft 365.
  • Administer and support SOTI MobiControl, including device enrollment, configuration, policy management, and lifecycle operations.
  • Manage and secure mobile devices (Android, iOS, Windows, rugged devices) by enforcing compliance, security policies, and restrictions.
  • Deploy and manage applications via SOTI, including updates, troubleshooting installation failures, and app lifecycle management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve MDM issues related to device enrollment, connectivity, policy conflicts, and performance (L2/L3 support).
  • Monitor, report, and document device compliance, operational health, and standard procedures in collaboration with security and IT teams.

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of SCCM architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and its integration with other Microsoft services.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
