Job Description – SAP Treasury Lead – Utilities

Location: Markham (Hybrid - 3 days onsite in a week)

We are seeking an experienced SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM) professional with utilities industry experience to support large-scale SAP transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP Treasury solutions, deep S/4HANA knowledge, and proven experience delivering treasury capabilities across complex enterprise programs. This role requires collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, and banking partners to deliver scalable and integrated treasury solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM) solutions.

Deliver SAP Treasury solutions as part of large, complex SAP transformation programs.

Conduct workshops and gather business requirements from finance and treasury stakeholders.

Configure and support SAP S/4HANA Treasury functionalities, including:

Cash Management

Bank Connectivity

In-House Cash

Risk Management

Support both greenfield and brownfield SAP implementation projects.

Coordinate integrations with external bank interfaces, payment platforms, and third-party systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional SAP teams to ensure end-to-end solution integration.

Prepare functional specifications, solution documentation, testing scripts, and training materials.

Support SIT, UAT, defect resolution, cutover, and go-live activities.

Provide best practice guidance for treasury and cash management processes within the utilities sector.

Manage stakeholder communication and coordinate activities across business and technical teams.

Required Skills & Experience

SAP experience with strong focus on SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM).

Proven hands-on experience delivering SAP Treasury solutions in enterprise-scale transformation programs.

Experience working in both greenfield and brownfield SAP environments.

Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Treasury functionality.

Experience integrating SAP with external banking interfaces and payment platforms.

Experience working in or supporting clients within the utilities sector.

Strong understanding of treasury operations, liquidity management, and financial risk management processes.

Proven ability to lead workshops, manage stakeholders, and coordinate across multiple teams.

Excellent communication, documentation, analytical, and leadership skills.
