Compliance Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that our organization adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our operations and safeguarding the organization against compliance risks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various compliance frameworks and regulations, including Healthcare billings, and internal audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with established policies and identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor changes in legislation and regulations affecting the organization, ensuring timely updates to compliance programs.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related matters, fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence to financial concepts and principles such as COMAR regulations
• Prepare reports on compliance activities for senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
• Investigate compliance breaches or issues, recommending corrective actions as necessary.

Experience

• Proven experience in a compliance role or related field, with a strong understanding of corporate accounting practices.
• Familiarity with COMAR regulations, insurances and internal audit processes is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them effectively within the organization.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
