Role Overview:
You will be joining WRI India as an Associate - Budget Analyst to support operational and administrative activities. Your responsibilities will include maintaining budgets for grants, tracking expenditures, monitoring contracts, event management, and other administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management (30%):
- Update and maintain project budgets using WRIs budgeting software (TM1)
- Coordinate with the accounting team, payments team, HR, and program teams
- Ensure team compliance with grant and contract agreements
- Coordinate financial expenditures for project teams
- Contracts Management (30%):
- Process documentation for agreements, contracts, sub grants, and purchase orders
- Monitor performance against contract requirements
- Provide guidance to partners and consultants for compliance with funder policies
- Process invoices and payments for partners in compliance with WRIs policies
- Conference, Event & Travel Support (20%):
- Coordinate logistics for domestic and international workshops
- Provide travel and visa support to the team
- Assist with financial management for conference and event logistics
- Administration (20%):
- Schedule team meetings and assist in annual planning processes
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of new staff members
- Manage various program, department, and organizational trackers
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting)
- Two years of relevant full-time work experience
- Strong attention to deadlines and grant compliance
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, web-based communications, and CRM database
- Budgeting experience with Excel or other software is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
