Technical Project Manager - Payments & Fintech Platform

Payments platforms don't fail because of code alone. They fail when integrations break, releases lose alignment, dependencies are missed, and critical systems stop working together.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex payments and fintech platforms. This role requires a strong blend of technical understanding, project leadership, stakeholder management, and execution excellence across distributed engineering ecosystems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale payment platform initiatives involving banking integrations, payment gateways, UPI ecosystems, cloud-native applications, and modern software delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead end-to-end delivery of fintech and payments platform initiatives from planning through production deployment.
• Drive execution across multiple engineering teams, ensuring alignment of scope, timelines, dependencies, and release milestones.
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps, QA, Security, Compliance, and Integration teams.
• Manage complex integrations involving banking APIs, payment gateways, UPI systems, and third-party financial service providers.
• Monitor project risks, identify bottlenecks, and proactively drive issue resolution.
• Oversee release planning, deployment schedules, change management, and production readiness activities.
• Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, Agile delivery methodologies, and engineering best practices.
• Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making across distributed systems and microservices-based architectures.
• Track project progress through metrics, dashboards, and stakeholder reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, governance, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications :

• 10-20 years of overall IT experience with significant experience managing large-scale fintech or payments technology programs.
• Proven experience delivering payment platforms, transaction processing systems, or digital banking solutions.
• Strong understanding of :

1. Microservices architecture

2. RESTful APIs

3. Distributed systems

4. Event-driven architectures

• Experience managing cross-functional teams including Engineering, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Integration teams.
• Hands-on understanding of CI/CD pipelines, release management processes, and DevOps practices.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of payment ecosystems, banking integrations, payment gateways, and UPI frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and dependencies in complex enterprise environments.
