Registered Psychotherapist (Marriage and Family Therapist)

Join the Willow Roots Therapy Team:

Looking for a Couples and Family Therapist to work Part-Time or Full-Time with a hybrid model, in Ottawa. We are seeking to fill this role for a September 2026 start.

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Registered Psychotherapist - or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)- who’s looking to make a real difference and join a supportive team? At Willow Roots Therapy we offer individual, couples, and family psychotherapy services, focused on interpersonal relationships, trauma and ADHD, as well as a range of other concerns. Requirements

• A Master’s degree in a mental health-related field (e.g. Marriage/ Couples and Family Therapy, Counselling Psychology, Social Work).
• Registered or Qualifying and in good standing with the CRPO or OCSWSSW.
• Training in Marriage and Family Therapy (Family Systems).
• Professional liability insurance and vulnerable sector police check.
• Ability to work a hybrid model (in-person services located in the Centretown area/ remote services at a location of your choosing).

Expectations:

• Be able to provide couples and family psychotherapy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
• A minimum of 15 direct client hours per week.
• Available to work some evening hours.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Be able to implement boundaries as needed and to provide client-centered care with empathy and compassion.
• Actively manage caseloads, including timely follow-up with clients, continuity of care, and supporting client engagement and retention.
• Able to work independently, as well as with a team.
• Participate in team building activities.
• In the process of registering with the CACFT as an associate or as an RMFT or fully completed.

Assets:

• ADHD training (or willingness to complete)
• Sex therapy training (or willingness to complete)
• EMDR training
• Fluent in a second language
