Junior Structural Engineer/Structural Technologist

Whitemud Ironworks Group is seeking a highly motivated Junior Structural Engineer or Structural Technologist to complement our skilled engineering team in the Edmonton Office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to launch their career with a reputable, growing organization!

Whitemud Ironworks Group is a fully integrated steel fabricator and erector that specializes in structural and miscellaneous steel projects in the commercial sector. We are recognized as an industry leader for our quality and scope of work. Due to our reputation, we have grown substantially over the past 20+ years. Today, Whitemud has established construction crews and three fabrication facilities totaling over 100,000 square feet!

What you will do

As a junior engineer or Structural Technologist, you enjoy working independently while being supervised by senior members of the engineering team. Your professional expertise allows you to design structural steel connections and engineered erection plans with ease. You can effectively collaborate with colleagues in various other departments to ensure successful project completion. You are recognized for delivering execution excellence and leveraged improvement in all that you do, and you thrive in a high volume, fast paced environment.

What you have done

You have completed a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field. You have at least one year of experience in structural steel; however, recent qualified graduates will also be considered. Experience in connection design is an asset. You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with structural steel connection design software such as RAM Connection and IDEA StatiCa is considered an asset.
