Job description
Staff Product / Platform Engineer (Node) | Data and Integration | Hybrid (Seattle) | $180k - $250k USD + Equity, 401k and benefits.
The Company
They’re building a modern, AI-native CRM designed to move deals forward instead of slowing them down. Backed by top-tier investors and led by founders who’ve done this before (and exited), they’ve raised $25M in under two years and kept the team lean, senior, and brutally effective. Everyone pulls their weight. No passengers.
The Role
This is a foundational hire. They’re missing a core capability around data and integrations—and they want someone to come in and own it properly. You’ll take full responsibility for building out a data and integration platform from scratch, shaping both the product direction and the technical architecture. It’s messy, high-impact, and visible.
The Responsibilities
- Build and own a scalable data and integration platform from the ground up
- Create and manage bi-directional integrations across tools in the GTM ecosystem (e.g. CRM, marketing, sales tools)
- Define how data should flow, be structured, and be used across the platform
- Make architectural decisions that will hold up as the company scales
- Write production-grade code across backend systems using modern technologies
- Work closely with product, design, and GTM teams to deliver meaningful features
- Identify, debug, and resolve real production issues in distributed systems
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability practices that actually surface problems before users do
The Requirements
- 7–10+ years building platform or product systems, ideally in high-growth environments
- Experience designing and scaling data-heavy or integration-focused platforms
- Strong product mindset—you think about outcomes, not just implementation
- Background in VC-backed B2B SaaS companies (Series A–C preferred)
- Proven experience working on customer-facing products, not just internal tools
- Strong backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and data pipelines (Kafka, Postgres; exposure to Spark/Flink is a plus)
- Experience with monitoring and observability in production environments
- Ability to operate autonomously and make decisions without waiting for permission
- Based in Seattle or open to relocating, with availability to work in-office three days per week
The Remuneration
- Salary range: $180,000 – $250,000 USD
- Equity as part of a high-growth, early-stage company
- $200/month internet and phone stipend
- $200/month wellness stipend
- 3% 401(k) match (US)
- Full medical, dental, and vision coverage (US)
- Relocation support available where needed
Why Apply
If you’re looking for something safe, predictable, and neatly scoped... this isn’t it. This is a chance to build a core piece of a product from nothing, alongside people who’ve done it before and expect you to keep up. You’ll have nowhere to hide, but real ownership and real impact. If that sounds like your kind of problem, apply.
