Westhills EVS is located 10 minutes west of Stony Plain (Alberta, Canada) and 30 minutes west of Edmonton and is easily accessed off of TransCanada Highway 16 on Range Road 25. You must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation as we are not on a bus route.

Our RVTs work closely with our veterinarians in a wide variety of animal nursing duties and play a large role in client education and exceptional patient care. We encourage our RVT’s to use their full skillset and grow their special interests.

Westhills EVS provides interesting and dynamic RVT work in a variety of areas, including but not limited to:

• Laboratory procedures
• Anesthetic administration, monitoring and recovery
• Hospitalized patient care
• Radiology
• Client Education
• Reproduction assistance and neonatal care
• Routine diagnostics and laboratory testing
• Emergency triage
• Surgical preparation and assistance
• General medicine assistance

What We’re Looking For:

• REQUIRED: Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT)
• REQUIRED: Horse Handling Experience
• STRONG ASSET: Previous equine veterinary experience.
• Strong interest in ambulatory and hospital care with the ability to work in rapid, high-pressure situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (in English), with the ability to communicate calmly during emergencies.
• A team-oriented mindset and a commitment to excellence in equine care.
