Job Description
As a Supply Chain & Distribution Specialist at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring adequate truck availability, optimizing utilization, negotiating freight rates, and managing contingencies during transport disruptions.
- Planning and executing daily PO dispatch schedules, ensuring FIFO docking, aligning reverse pickups, and preventing dry-outs or suppressed sales through proactive planning.
- Managing end-to-end logistics execution issues, including loading, decantation, enroute delays, diversions, accidents, off-spec material, and quality & quantity discrepancies with timely escalation.
- Monitoring daily and monthly performance of logistics service providers, handling escalations, and driving continuous process and network improvements using logistics SaaS platforms.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and safety norms, supporting accident and incident investigations, managing marine insurance and dispute closure, and handling EXIM-related logistics where applicable.
- Ensuring timely POD closure and publishing accurate logistics MIS reports.
Qualifications required for this role include:
- 1+ years of work experience in supply chain, logistics, or distribution.
- Patience and the ability to manage relationships with last-mile logistics partners.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
- Excellent email writing and verbal communication skills.
