We value diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences; recognize th</span>at inclusive actions lead to equitable outcomes; and support and encourage all team members to share their ideas to help Waymo better serve the communities in which we operate.</p> <p data-path-to-node="0"><strong data-path-to-node="0" data-index-in-node="677">This role follows a hybrid work schedule and reports to the Head of Infrastructure Strategy.</strong></p> <h3 data-path-to-node="1"><strong data-path-to-node="1" data-index-in-node="0">You will:</strong></h3> <ul data-path-to-node="2"> <li> <p data-path-to-node="2,0,0"><strong data-path-to-node="2,0,0" data-index-in-node="0">Build Demand Models:</strong> Own and develop data-driven demand models for Waymo infrastructure that maximize business value while aligning cross-functionally on operational constraints.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="2,1,0"><strong data-path-to-node="2,1,0" data-index-in-node="0">Apply Advanced Analytics:</strong> Use linear programming, stochastic modeling, simulations, and other optimization tools to derive high-impact business recommendations.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="2,2,0"><strong data-path-to-node="2,2,0" data-index-in-node="0">Develop Buffer Strategies:</strong> Architect and implement buffer strategies tailored to different infrastructure types to ensure fleet resilience.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="2,3,0"><strong data-path-to-node="2,3,0" data-index-in-node="0">Drive Continuous Improvement:</strong> Conduct rigorous variance analysis to address key gaps and drive ongoing improvements in overall plan quality.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="2,4,0"><strong data-path-to-node="2,4,0" data-index-in-node="0">Publish Infrastructure Plans:</strong> Generate and publish high-quality demand plans broken down by specific infrastructure categories.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="2,5,0"><strong data-path-to-node="2,5,0" data-index-in-node="0">Lead Demand Reviews:</strong> Own the demand review cadence and create the associated content necessary to facilitate cross-functional alignment on global plans.</p> </li> </ul> <h3 data-path-to-node="3"><strong data-path-to-node="3" data-index-in-node="0">You have:</strong></h3> <ul data-path-to-node="4"> <li> <p data-path-to-node="4,0,0"><strong data-path-to-node="4,0,0" data-index-in-node="0">Quantitative Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, or an MBA/Master’s in Operations Research or a related technical field.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="4,1,0"><strong data-path-to-node="4,1,0" data-index-in-node="0">Forecasting Expertise:</strong> 6+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or complex modeling roles.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="4,2,0"><strong data-path-to-node="4,2,0" data-index-in-node="0">Financial Acumen:</strong> Proven experience deriving strategic business recommendations through deep quantitative data analysis and modeling.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="4,3,0"><strong data-path-to-node="4,3,0" data-index-in-node="0">Advanced Office Suite:</strong> Modeling-level proficiency in Excel or equivalent spreadsheet software.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="4,4,0"><strong data-path-to-node="4,4,0" data-index-in-node="0">Programming Mastery:</strong> Proficiency in SQL (specifically BigQuery) and Python for data manipulation and analysis.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="4,5,0"><strong data-path-to-node="4,5,0" data-index-in-node="0">Optimization Toolset:</strong> Hands-on experience with Google OR-Tools (CP-SAT solver), Gurobi, or similar mathematical optimization software.</p> </li> </ul> <h3 data-path-to-node="5"><strong data-path-to-node="5" data-index-in-node="0">We prefer:</strong></h3> <ul data-path-to-node="6"> <li> <p data-path-to-node="6,0,0"><strong data-path-to-node="6,0,0" data-index-in-node="0">Visual Storytelling:</strong> Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate data into compelling narratives via PowerPoint or Google Slides.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="6,1,0"><strong data-path-to-node="6,1,0" data-index-in-node="0">Anaplan Proficiency:</strong> Direct experience building and managing complex models within the Anaplan platform.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="6,2,0"><strong data-path-to-node="6,2,0" data-index-in-node="0">EV Infrastructure Planning:</strong> Specific experience planning for electric vehicle (EV) fleet needs, such as charging stations, service centers, and parking logistics.</p> </li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
