Marine Operations Manager

Who you are

As the Marine Manager - Operations based out of our Nakusp, BC location you will actively lead and drive continuous improvement of our freshwater passenger ferry operations. You are a strong leader with high influence who is able to address operational issues in a positive and productive manner, in a unionized environment. As a hands-on versatile leader, you will guide the crews to ensure smooth and cost-efficient operations of the fleet. Your level-controlled demeanor enables you to make sound,

effective business decisions during times of pressure or stress. Reporting directly to the General

Manager, you will ensure delivery of superior operating performance and inspire an open innovative learning environment for all crew members.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience

 Operational management experience of 5 or more years with direct reports

 Maritime or other marine based operational experience years preferred

 Experience managing others in a unionized environment is an asset

 Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license or better and a clean driver abstract

 Experience working with the public or external customers

 Project management experience is an asset

 Proficient with computer applications including Microsoft Suite and SharePoint

Location - The successful candidate must be living in or willing to relocate permanently to the

Nakusp, BC area. A relocation allowance will be provided.
