Job Description
You will be working as a Shift Supervisor O & M Electrical at Hindustan Zinc, Debari, Udaipur. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating operation activities during the shift to ensure that the plant is operated according to the demand.
- Planning and coordinating Operation & Maintenance activities at the plant and/or assigned team during the shift.
- Ensuring that the performance targets of the plant are reached according to the contract in your responsibility area.
- Training maintenance procedures and standards for new workers.
- Prioritizing and assigning tasks to ensure effective use of assigned team resources and meeting targets.
- Communicating with the grid control center and plant management about the loading of the plant.
- Maintaining all Operation and Maintenance records according to the Plant Management procedures and guidelines.
The educational requirement for this role is a Diploma or BE in Electrical. The experience required includes a minimum of 4 to 5+ years of relevant experience in a Thermal based power plant or similar Utilities experience. Other desired skills include communication skills, problem-solving, decision-making, professional teamwork, quality, health, safety, and environmental awareness, reporting, analyzing skills, training, development skills, and familiarity with workplace ICT equipment & applications.
The reason for needing this position is to run the STG (Extraction cum condensate steam turbine) Power Plant new O & M at HZL Debari, Udaipur site. - Allocating sub-contractor employees according to the job requirements.
- Planning and coordinating Operation & Maintenance activities at the plant during the shift.

- Troubleshooting plant tripping in a quick response manner.
- Developing operation working routines and standard SOP/SMP/JSA data for plant machinery.
