Walmart Systems and Infrastructure Engineer

Role and Responsibilities of Walmart Systems and Infrastructure Engineer:
In this role, you will manage technical operations within critical facility data centers, ensuring optimal performance of electrical, mechanical, and automation systems. You will lead preventive maintenance and troubleshoot complex equipment while coordinating with third-party vendors to maintain operational standards.
- Manage third-party vendor teams, including electrical and mechanical partners
- Make proactive decisions to ensure operational efficiency
- Troubleshoot and take corrective action for malfunctions and breakdowns in heating, refrigeration, air-conditioning systems, pumps, coils, and fans
- Observe and adhere to all prescribed work and safety compliance rules and regulations
- Inspect and examine chillers, air compressors, heat exchangers, medium and low voltage switchgear, and auxiliary equipment to locate operational defects
- Manage chemicals for cooling towers, chillers, or other critical facility systems
- Manage electrical voltage distribution and controls including UPS systems, PDUs, generators, and switchgear
- Monitor and update the Energy Management Controls System and BMS systems
- Perform preventive maintenance, installations, inspections, troubleshooting, adjustments, repairs, and replacements for rotating equipment including pumps and motors
- Perform inspections and tests on refrigeration systems, safety devices, and controls for efficiency and compliance with safety regulations
Required Skills and Experience of Walmart Systems and Infrastructure Engineer:
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in one or more of the following areas: medium electrical voltage distribution and controls including emergency power, mechanical systems, or building management and automation controls
- Knowledge of and ability to supervise work on utility plant mechanical and electrical systems and components
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related field with 2 years of relevant experience, OR 3 years of relevant experience without a degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related field
- Experience creating inclusive digital experiences and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating accessibility best practices into operations
Compensation and Benefits of Walmart Systems and Infrastructure Engineer:
- Annual salary range: $80,000 - $155,000 with additional annual or quarterly performance bonuses
