Position Overview

Walmart is hiring Automotive Care Center Technicians to perform tire, oil, battery, and basic maintenance services at Supercenter ACC bays. You will mount and balance tires, perform oil and filter changes, install batteries, check fluid levels, and consult with customers on vehicle maintenance needs — all in a structured retail automotive environment with steady workflow and consistent scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mount, balance, and install tires using commercial tire machines, balancers, and torque wrenches per manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform oil and filter changes on a wide variety of customer vehicles following proper drain, fill, and disposal procedures.
  • Test, remove, and install automotive batteries, verifying charging system operation before returning vehicles to customers.
  • Inspect and top off vehicle fluids including coolant, brake fluid, power steering, transmission, and windshield washer.
  • Consult with customers on recommended services, explaining findings clearly and providing accurate time and cost estimates.

Qualifications & Benefits

Must be 18+ years of age. No formal ASE certifications required to start — basic automotive knowledge and willingness to learn under supervision essential. Prior auto shop, trade school, or personal vehicle maintenance experience helpful. Must lift tires and equipment up to 75 lbs.
