General Laborer

Full-Time | Work Location: Fallon, NV

Job Summary

Walker Lane Mining Company LLC is seeking hardworking, dependable, and safety-focused General Laborers to support daily mining operations. This position performs a variety of labor-intensive tasks throughout the mine site, including material handling, site cleanup, equipment support, and general maintenance activities.

Mining experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties in support of mining, processing, maintenance, and construction activities
• Assist operators, mechanics, and mine personnel with daily tasks
• Clean and maintain work areas, facilities, equipment, and mine site infrastructure
• Move, load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and supplies
• Perform shoveling, sweeping, raking, and other manual labor activities as needed
• Assist with basic maintenance and repair projects
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and MSHA safety requirements
• Participate in daily safety meetings and workplace inspections
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment concerns immediately
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Mining, construction, manufacturing, agriculture, landscaping, or general labor experience preferred
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and active mining operations
• Strong attendance record and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid Driver's License preferred
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background screening requirements

Work Schedule

• 12-Hour Rotating Shifts
• 7 Days On / 7 Days Off Schedule
• Overtime opportunities available based on operational needs
• Must be willing and able to commute to Fallon, Nevada

Work Conditions

• Outdoor work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, dust, and precipitation
• Exposure to noise, dust, moving equipment, and mining-related hazards
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
• PPE required including hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, reflective vest, and steel-toe boots
