We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team immediately at our Finch and Weston Rd location. Duties

• Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.
• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques and infection control protocols are strictly followed.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including intraoral and extraoral images, utilizing digital imaging systems such as 3D scanners when applicable.
• Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Conduct vital signs assessments and medical imaging as needed; assist with medical documentation and coding for insurance purposes.
• Support front desk functions by acting as a dental receptionist when required, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and managing medical records.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines.

Requirements

• Valid Registered Dental Assistant license or certification in accordance with Ontario regulations.
• Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting with proficiency in dental assisting procedures.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Paradigm, or any dental software; strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
• Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; experience with medical imaging technology is preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry principles; experience assisting with pediatric patients is a plus.
