Senior Full Stack Cloud Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Cloud Engineer to join a cutting-edge engineering team focused on building next-generation cloud-native platforms. This role involves designing, developing, deploying, and operating secure, scalable, and high-availability software systems in AWS cloud environments.

The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on engineer with deep experience in full-stack development, distributed systems, microservices architecture, CI/CD automation, and modern DevOps practices. This role requires working onsite in McLean, VA.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications in cloud environments.
• Architect secure, high-performance backend services using microservices architecture.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate backend systems with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Build and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS services.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for build, test, and deployment processes.
• Ensure system reliability with monitoring, alerting, logging, and fault tolerance mechanisms.
• Apply security best practices including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, architecture, and DevOps.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and efficient production-grade code.
• Leverage generative AI tools to improve development efficiency and code quality.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing and operating production-grade full-stack applications.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with at least one of the following: Go, Java, Node.js, or C#.
• 3+ years of experience building distributed systems using microservices or serverless architecture.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and application security.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field OR 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Must be eligible to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in federal or defense environments.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks.
• Experience integrating AI or generative AI tools into development workflows.
• AWS Certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Developer Associate, Solutions Architect).
