ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently expanding our design team with a goal of increasing overall integration of human centred design practices into each of our projects. Our designers participate in a broad range of focus areas including UX design/product design, user research, product delivery support (prioritization and backlog), workshop facilitation and collaborative processes with development teams and subject matter experts. We are looking for an individual who will help us grow in this area and who is passionate about driving human centred design practices through projects and the organization as a whole.

As a Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in our Agile development environment, working closely with BC Government clients to deliver outstanding user experiences. You will be responsible for conducting user research, crafting intuitive UX designs, and shaping the overall product design strategy. The successful candidate will excel in client relationship management, implementing designs that adhere to best practices and prioritize user-centric principles, and being an advocate for Human Centred Design and Design Thinking. You should enjoy working in an Agile environment where you are a team player, with the ability to also take the lead on the design decisions as needed.

Our ideal candidate will pair their passion for user research and experience design with an ability to integrate the multi-layered design needs of creating dev ready features. If you excel in a world where you work through the depth and detail of a business, through to designing interactive, dev-ready prototypes then this opportunity is for you. We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable guiding clients through the design process, as they are working with a development team through technical problem solving for complex digital systems.

We work in an inclusive and collaborative environment where everyone is treated with respect. In all the work that we do, we strive to bring equity and inclusion in our recommendations, designs, and behaviours. For this position, it is important that the candidate also align with these values.
