Position Summary

Resort General Manager of Renault Winery & Resort is responsible for leading one of VIVÂMEE Hospitality’s flagship assets with excellence, ownership, humility, joy, and ministry.

This leader serves as the chief steward of the property’s culture, guest experience, financial performance, associate engagement, revenue growth, operational standards, and long-term asset value. The role requires a highly visible, hands-on hospitality executive who can inspire teams, drive accountability, elevate service standards, and maximize the performance of every revenue center across the resort.

Renault Winery & Resort is not simply a hotel, winery, golf course, wedding venue, restaurant, or event destination. It is a purpose-driven hospitality experience where guests, associates, members, brides, families, and the community should feel welcomed, cared for, and revived.

Core Purpose of the Role

Resort General Manager is responsible for ensuring that every pillar of the Renault Winery & Resort organization delivers excellence.

This includes

Culture. Building a team that lives the VIVÂMEE virtues daily.

Revenue. Maximizing every opportunity across lodging, weddings, events, golf, food & beverage, wine, retail, spa, programming, memberships, and experiences.

Service. Ensuring every guest interaction reflects soulful service and servant leadership.

Profitability. Leading the property to achieve budgeted GOP, EBITDA, margin improvement, and expense discipline.

Operational Excellence. Creating consistency, accountability, cleanliness, safety, standards, and pride in every department.

Asset Stewardship. Protecting and growing the long-term value of Renault Winery & Resort.

Reporting Structure

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer / Executive Leadership Team

Works Closely With: CEO, CXO, CCO, Corporate Finance, Corporate Sales, Marketing, People & Culture, Culinary Leadership, Golf Leadership, Facilities, and Department Heads

Primary Areas of Responsibility

  • Culture & Servant Leadership

The Managing Director / Resort General Manager must be the primary culture carrier at Renault Winery & Resort.

Expectations

Lead with the VIVÂMEE virtues of Joy, Humility, and Ministry.

Create a property culture where associates feel valued, trained, supported, and inspired.

Model servant leadership through visibility, presence, consistency, and care.

Ensure leaders understand that culture is not a side initiative — culture is the operating system.

Build trust across departments and eliminate silos.

Lead daily and weekly communication rhythms that create clarity, alignment, and accountability.

Reinforce the VIVÂMEE Credo, service standards, leadership expectations, and “Welcome Home” hospitality.

Celebrate wins, recognize team members, and address performance issues quickly and professionally.

  • Guest, Member & Client Experience

The Managing Director / Resort General Manager is responsible for ensuring that Renault delivers an exceptional experience from first impression to final farewell.

Expectations

Own the guest experience across lodging, restaurants, winery, golf, spa, weddings, events, retail, and public spaces.

Regularly walk the property from the eyes of the guest.

Respond to guest feedback, online reviews, service failures, and recovery opportunities.

Ensure every department understands its role in creating emotional connection and memorable experiences.

Set a clear standard for cleanliness, hospitality, timing, communication, food quality, presentation, and professionalism.

Personally engage with guests, brides, corporate clients, members, VIPs, and community partners.

  • Revenue Growth & Commercial Leadership

This role must lead Renault with a strong commercial mindset. Sales are sacred, and revenue is everyone’s responsibility.

Expectations

Drive revenue across all property revenue centers.

Partner closely with sales, catering, marketing, revenue management, golf, culinary, restaurant, retail, spa, and winery teams.

Identify missed revenue opportunities and create action plans to capture them.

Lead upselling culture across the resort.

Ensure every associate understands how to welcome, educate, and invite guests into deeper experiences.
