Senior Disability Underwriter

A company is looking for a Senior Disability Underwriter. Key Responsibilities Evaluate risks and determine insurability and premium classification for individual disability cases Communicate and negotiate with field force and home office personnel to acquire necessary information and convey decisions Collaborate with adjacent departments and participate in ongoing training to enhance customer service and underwriting processes Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and industry-related education (e.g., LOMA, ALU, CLU) desired Experience in Individual Disability Underwriting preferred Knowledge of individual disability insurance products and processes Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and financial documents General computer proficiency required
