Job Title: Trainee Scientist Environment Lab

Department: Environment / Analytical Services

Location: Shamirpet, Hyderabbad

Reporting To: Senior Scientist / Lab Manager

Job Summary

The Trainee Scientist will support environmental testing and analysis activities in the laboratory. The role involves assisting in sample preparation, instrument handling, data recording, and adherence to quality standards, with a focus on learning and developing technical expertise in environmental analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in analysis of environmental samples such as water, soil, air, and effluents as per standard methods.
• Perform sample preparation, extraction, and preservation following SOPs.
• Support operation and calibration of laboratory instruments (e.g., GC, HPLC, ICP, UV-Vis, etc.).
• Ensure proper documentation of test results, raw data, and observations in compliance with GLP practices.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety standards, and equipment upkeep.
• Follow established quality procedures (ISO/ NABL guidelines) during testing and reporting.
• Assist in method development/validation activities under supervision.
• Participate in internal and external audits by preparing required records.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and report deviations, if any.
• Adhere to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines at all times.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Education: M.Sc. / B.Sc. in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field
• Experience: 0–1 year (Freshers can apply)

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of environmental testing and analytical techniques
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and quality standards
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, reporting formats)
