Key Responsibilities

1. CCTV System Monitoring & Operation

• Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and ensure proper functioning of all cameras.
• Check camera feeds regularly and report any abnormal activity or system failure.
• Ensure all cameras are recording properly and footage is stored correctly in the NVR.
• Perform daily system health checks and maintain operational logs.

Should be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining surveillance systems and ensuring proper recording and monitoring operations.

2. NVR / DVR Configuration & Management

• Configure and manage Network Video Recorders (NVR) and Digital Video Recorders (DVR).
• Ensure proper camera connectivity with the NVR system.
• Manage storage, recording schedules, playback, and backup of footage.
• Diagnose issues related to recording failures, storage errors, or system connectivity.

3. Network Support for Surveillance Systems

• Maintain stable network connectivity for CCTV systems.
• Configure IP cameras, routers, switches, and LAN connections for surveillance infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network issues affecting camera streaming or recording.
• Ensure proper IP addressing and network configuration.

He should be able to configure routers, switches, and IP cameras and troubleshoot connectivity problems to maintain stable surveillance networks.

4. Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution

• Detect and resolve technical issues related to:
• Camera malfunction
• Network connectivity problems
• Recording or storage failures
• Power or hardware issues
• Perform root cause analysis of system failures.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the service team when necessary.

Technicians must diagnose and resolve camera, network, and recording issues to ensure surveillance systems operate without interruption.

5. Preventive Maintenance

• Perform regular system inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Check cabling, connectors, and camera positioning.
• Update firmware or system configurations if required.
• Ensure system uptime and reliability.

6. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with the service and support team for complex repairs.
• Maintain documentation of system issues and maintenance work.
• Provide basic technical support to internal staff when required.

Educational Qualification

• ITI / Diploma / Graduate in Electronics, Networking, IT, or related field
• Equivalent technical training in CCTV and networking may also be considered.

Candidate Requirements

• 1 – 2 years’ experience in CCTV systems, networking, or technical support
• Ability to detect and resolve technical issues independently
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work on-site and handle operational responsibilities
• Basic communication skills for coordination with support teams

Vicom Security Private Limited is looking for a Technical Operator (CCTV & Network Support) with 1–2 years of experience in CCTV surveillance systems, NVR/DVR configuration, and basic networking. The candidate should have hands-on knowledge of installing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting CCTV cameras and NVR systems.

The role requires a technically capable professional who can identify system faults independently and resolve them effectively, while coordinating with the service and support team when required.

The Technical Operator will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of surveillance systems, maintaining network connectivity for cameras, monitoring recordings, and performing preventive maintenance

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,329.14 - ₹20,832.54 per month
