As a Transport Maintenance Manager at VIBGYOR Group of Schools, your role involves overseeing the repair and maintenance operation for all buses and vehicles located in Malad. Your key responsibilities include:

• Evaluating the cause of repair failures, implementing improvements, and maintaining data.
• Meeting and conferring with bus manufacturer's technical representatives to ensure warranty work compliance.
• Developing, running, and analyzing productivity and operational reports.
• Ensuring all repairs are carried out to the highest standards and conducting regular inspections.
• Adhering to the Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Collaborating with the Head of Department to provide status of maintenance and budget requirements, including monthly reviews of financial and budget variances.
• Developing work orders and evaluating all repairs performed by mechanics and outside vendors.
• Setting up and supervising the activity of the Vehicle Maintenance Systems (VMS), security camera system, and GPS.
• Negotiating and establishing repair costs or parts pricing with commercial vendors.
• Managing the company's obligations to the Department of Transport, including vehicle annual tests, record-keeping, and fleet inspections.
• Preparing an annual bid list for parts and supplies, analyzing Fleet aging, and conducting monthly/quarterly quality checks at schools and garages.
• Ensuring immediate response to operator inquiries related to the mechanical operation of vehicles.
