Veterinary Nurse or Technician

As part of the Vets4pets group, we have access to a large pool of talent, experience and equipment to give your pets the best of care. This includes a 24 hour emergency vet at Golden Grove. We also have clinics located at Angle Vale, Cottage Grove, Golden Grove, Mawson Lakes, Northgate, Ridgehaven and Salisbury Park.

This is a casual role that will see you working across all of our clinics.

What makes this role special

We are a well-equipped practice with a collaborative working environment and although we offer extended emergency hours to serve our community our patients are cared for during those hours meaning no overnight shifts are required. This allows you to maintain a healthy balance between your professional commitment and personal life.

Key responsibilities include:

• Caring for hospitalised patients
• Assisting with consultations and performing nurse consultations
• Assisting with surgical procedures and anaesthetic monitoring
• Supporting our extended emergency hours service including patient triage
• Maintain an excellent level of patient and client care
• Maintain a high-level of cleanliness
• Assist with reception and administration duties

What we are looking for:

• Currently holds a Certificate IV in veterinary Nursing, Bachelor of Vet Technology
• Ability to work well and multitask in a busy hospital environment
• A desire to deliver excellent standards of patient care and client service
• Experience using Idexx, VetLab station, Catalyst and Procyte Dx equipment (not essential)
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• An eagerness to learn to develop their skills
• Genuine love for animals and their people
