Veterinary Molecular Lab Technician (Hebbal)

We are seeking a competent and proactive Veterinary / Animal - Molecular Lab Technician to play a key role in our diagnostic laboratory operations. The candidate will be responsible for sample processing, molecular diagnostics, routine laboratory testing, and operational coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Register and manage incoming samples efficiently

Perform CBC using automated hematology analyzers

Process serum for semi-automatic / automatic biochemistry analyzers

Conduct molecular diagnostic techniques (PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, nucleic acid handling)

Document, validate, and prepare diagnostic reports

Maintain laboratory records, quality control, and workflow

Use computer systems, LIS, and printers for reporting

Operational & Field Responsibilities

Interact with clinicians, veterinarians, and clients regarding tests and reports

Assist in sample collection from external locations when required

Monitor day-to-day laboratory operations, including workload and manpower coordination

Key Skills

Molecular Techniques (PCR, DNA Isolation, Nucleic Acid handling)

Experience with hematology & biochemistry analyzers

Basic laboratory management and coordination skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Computer proficiency (reporting, documentation)

Required Qualifications

M.Sc. in Molecular Biology / Biology / Zoology / Agriculture / Fisheries (Basic Sciences)

Relevant experience in diagnostic laboratory / molecular lab preferred
