Job Description
As a member of the Global Predictive Monitoring team at Vestas, you will play a crucial role in monitoring wind turbine gearboxes, main bearings, and generators to detect potential failures and damages before they occur. Your responsibilities will include technical reporting of reliability conditions, interacting with service operations to follow up on alerts and technical actions, improving monitoring templates based on field feedback, sharing technical solutions, and supporting service operations in optimizing maintenance. Additionally, you will participate in Continuous Improvement Programs.
Qualifications
- M.E/M.Tech/B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Level II or Level III Vibration Certification per ISO 18436-2
- 5+ years of experience in Vibration Analysis and Condition Monitoring
- Preferably familiar with SKF, BKV, or TCM vibration analyzer technologies
- Exposure to Condition Monitoring of Wind Turbines
Competencies:
- Proficiency in Vibration Analysis Software, Data Acquisition systems, sensors, and Condition Monitoring techniques
- Understanding of gearbox, generator, and bearing failure modes
- Expertise in Root Cause Failure Analysis, Fault Diagnosis, and Condition Evaluation
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English with excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Pro-active, structured, self-motivated, and ambitious
- Willingness to travel abroad
- Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and statistical tools like SQL, Matlab, and R is a plus
