About the job:

As the Senior Support and Azure Infra Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing our Azure-based infrastructure. You will lead the efforts in maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting Azure services, providing guidance to junior team members and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless cloud operations. Your expertise will help us scale our cloud environments, improve performance, and maintain high security standards.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the administration, support, and maintenance of Azure environments, ensuring high availability and optimal system performance.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution for complex Azure infrastructure issues, acting as the subject matter expert for Azure services.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams to implement new Azure deployments, optimizations, and integrations.
  • Perform proactive monitoring, including performance tuning and health checks, using tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  • Design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure automation using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools such as PowerShell, ARM templates, and Azure CLI.
  • Ensure the security of Azure environments by managing Azure Security Center configurations and monitoring for vulnerabilities.
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery strategies for Azure-based systems, ensuring business continuity and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior Azure support staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Lead capacity planning and resource scaling for Azure infrastructure, ensuring optimal utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Azure updates, technologies, and best practices, implementing improvements and new solutions where appropriate.
  • Support cloud migration and integration projects, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for system configurations, procedures, troubleshooting guides, and lessons learned.
  • Report security incidents and violations to the relevant departments.
  • Ensure completion and maintenance of documentation required under established management system policies and objectives, and carry out necessary tasks to ensure proper implementation and documentation of the management system.
  • Comply with required management system behaviors in line with company policies, procedures, disciplinary processes, employment contract provisions, confidentiality agreements, and asset acceptance records.

What we are looking for:

Skills & Competencies:

  • Expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex system issues within Azure environments.
  • Strong knowledge of designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure in alignment with Azure best practices.
  • Proficiency in automating repetitive tasks and cloud management processes using PowerShell, ARM templates, and other automation tools.
  • In-depth understanding of Azure security practices, including vulnerability management, threat protection, and data governance.
  • Ability to lead projects, mentor junior staff, and promote best practices in cloud system maintenance and support.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions efficiently.
  • Ability to stay current with new Azure features and evolving cloud technologies, integrating them into existing systems.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure, including hands-on experience with a variety of Azure services and infrastructure components.
  • Advanced knowledge of Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Virtual Networks, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Expertise in cloud automation tools such as PowerShell, ARM templates, Azure CLI, and scripting for operational efficiency.
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure security practices, including Azure Security Center, role-based access control (RBAC), and identity management.
  • Strong experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights) and cloud resource optimization techniques.
  • Experience in cloud disaster recovery and backup strategies.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate) are highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
