Job Description

LOCATION: Lanjigarh JOB PURPOSE: The job involves driving the company’s overall strategic Public Relation programs, promoting CSR activities and other initiatives to improve public perception of the business unit or to raise unit’s profile with our key target stakeholders/audience.

The job also involves increasing the reach & quality of our communications – to create better awareness of our activities, performance & proposition ROLES &

RESPONSIBILITIES: Formulate policies and procedures related to public information programs. Develop short-term and long-term road map for PR and communication for the business unit. Maintain effective working relationships with local administration, government officials, media representatives & other stakeholders (i.e.

opinion makers, NGOs etc.). Promote our CSR activity and Social infrastructure development success stories through print, electronic and other media. Develop the Annual budget of PR & Communication activities of the unit in a manner which is aligned to the group’s overall objectives.

Identify & develop communications strategy for key media contacts and our stakeholder’s references. Develop and maintain corporate image and manage an organisation's reputation with all its stakeholders and the public in general by improving the value proposition. Designing & creating company literature and other forms of communication to uplift the brand visibility.

Work in close coordination with the top management in relation to strategy development from an internal and external stakeholder management perspective.

Educational Qualifications and Experience: A Master’s Degree in Public Relations/Mass Communication or MBA/PGDM in Journalism & Mass Communication or Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Science/Mass Communication Languages Known : Odia, Hindi & English Experience : 12-18 years (minimum of 6 years’ experience in large manufacturing setup out of total experience) Extensive experience of working at a senior level in a public relations/media or communication role.

Functional Skills: Sound written and verbal communications skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.

Ability to create message for specific stakeholders, knowledge of internal and external communication, strong writing and content creation skills etc. Sound time management skills to ensure multiple tasks simultaneously are completed within compressed time frames. Expert strategic and proactive leadership and presence.

Ability to be flexible and open to changing priorities and challenges. Stakeholder management skills. Crisis management Extensive knowledge of branding principles and techniques/tactics through multimedia including the Web.
