Responsibilities
- High-Quality Welding: Performing high-precision welding (TIG/GTAW, MIG/GMAW, SMAW) that meets stringent radiographic testing standards.
- Inspection Preparation: Preparing welded joints, identifying defects, and correcting them to meet code requirements.
- Material Working: Working with various materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloys.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding procedure specifications (WPS).
- Safety Adherence: Following all safety regulations, including wearing protective equipment and maintaining a safe work environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Certification: Certified in X-ray quality welding, often requiring extensive experience in specialized processes.
- Experience: Proven experience as an X-ray or certified welder, often with 2-5+ years in critical, high-pressure environments.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of welding parameters, metal properties, and radiographic (RT) inspection standards.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure welds are free from flaws.
