Power BI Analyst

Salary: $124,000 - 164,000 per year

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in a relevant technical field such as Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Networking, or Telecommunications.
• At least six (6) years of experience in designing and developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate or equivalent certifications.
• Strong SQL skills and expertise in data modeling techniques.
• Proven capacity to analyze, interpret, and visualize data to support business intelligence and operational reporting needs.
• Experience with data transformation, ETL processes, and integration with various data sources.
• Deep understanding of data governance, accuracy, and integrity within BI systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging with technical teams, analysts, and leadership stakeholders.
• Capability to obtain a federal security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations that deliver valuable insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine data requirements, gather reporting needs, and convert them into technical specifications.
• Transform, clean, and structure data from various sources to guarantee consistency, accuracy, and integrity within BI systems.
• Analyze datasets to pinpoint trends, patterns, and key performance indicators that assist in strategic and operational decision-making.
• Ensure data quality and accuracy by implementing validation checks and upholding secure and compliant data environments.
• Enhance Power BI performance by refining data refresh schedules, query efficiency, and visualization response times.
• Offer technical support and training to users on Power BI tools, features, and best practices.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align BI projects with broader program objectives, ensuring data transparency and accessibility.
• Maintain documentation of data models, report logic, and dashboard configurations to ensure continuity and compliance.
• Promote continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements to reporting frameworks, data pipelines, and visualization standards.
