About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, high-ownership Demand Planning leader who can bring structure to ambiguity and build a world-class planning engine for our global business. If you enjoy solving complex supply chain problems, working cross-functionally, and driving real business impact—this role is for you.

Job Description

1. Demand Planning

• Analyse weekly/monthly sales trends and collaborate with Sales to build accurate rolling 12-month forecasts at SKU-customer level.
• Ensure Customer Satisfaction through understanding/predicting demand and ensuring availability of stocks as per expected orders/ replenishment.
• Manage master and transactional data for seamless planning operations.

2. Back-end Coordination and stakeholder management - Supply planning/ Quality/ Regulatory

• Clearly communicate market requirements to supply planner, & align production plan
• Collaborate closely on RM/PM/FG availability to ensure order fulfilment
• Drive backward planning for timely execution of customer orders.
• Maintain high OTIF levels and minimize backorders through proactive planning.
• Work with Quality and Regulatory teams to resolve manufacturability and compliance challenges.

3. Product life cycle Ownership

• Monitor product performance, demand trends, and lifecycle stages
• Partner with cross-functional teams on launches, scale-ups, and phase-outs
• Ensure backend readiness for new SKUs and market expansions

4. Distribution and Logistics Planning

• Determine the modes of logistics (Air / Sea/ Surface) basis the available inventory at Warehouse.
• Roll out dispatch plans to warehouse, and ensuring the shipments are transported in the provided dispatch mode to maximize freight savings without impacting availability
• Coordinate with Logistics team for timely availability of stocks at 3rd party Warehouses.

5. Inventory Management and 3PL coordination

• Responsible for inventories at all supply chain nodes - Finished goods inventory at factory warehouse and 3rd party warehouses
• Ensuring optimum inventory at warehouses to avoid write-offs
• Review buffer (Target stock level) at various supply chain node & transit times
• Reconcile 3PL Invoices, manage credits and process payment with Finance team
• Order processing and tracking in coordination with 3PL WH POCs

6. Process Improvement

• Identify inefficiencies and fix them—automation, dashboards, process redesign
• Drive a data-first planning culture.

Key Skills:

• Strong grounding in Demand Planning / Supply Chain
• Someone who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
• Sharp problem-solving + stakeholder management skills
• Hands-on with SAP + Advanced Excel (pivots, macros, dashboards)

Qualification:

• MBA (Tier-1/2 Institute preferred)
• 2-3 years’ Experience in Pharma/ FMCG/ Retail/ Distribution supply chain (Demand/ Supply Planning profiles preferred)
