Payroll Specialist

Our client, located in Brentwood, TN, is seeking a temp‑to‑hire Payroll Specialist to join their team. This position requires former experience in UKG Ready and the ability to process multi‑site and multi‑state payroll. Responsibilities Payroll Administration: Process bi‑weekly payroll for multiple pay groups, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation; manage reconciliations, audits, off‑cycle payroll, and partner with HR and Finance to resolve discrepancies. HRIS & Reporting: Maintain HRIS data integrity, workflows, and system updates; generate standard and ad hoc reports for HR, leadership, and compliance; support system training, performance review setup, and issue resolution. Benefits & Compliance Support: Assist with administration of benefits programs (medical, 401(k), leaves), open enrollment, and employee inquiries; support compliance activities including ACA reporting and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. Additional Requirements: Local candidates strongly preferred due to hybrid schedule; availability to start ASAP. Qualifications Significant UKG Ready experience required Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred 2–4 years of experience in payroll processing, HRIS support, or benefits administration Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (functions, formulas, pivot tables) Experience with compliance reporting (ACA, EEO‑1) preferred CPP certification a plus Location: Brentwood, TN – hybrid schedule after training Title: Payroll Specialist Length of position: Temp to hire – permanent need Pay: $25–$30/hour depending on experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
