Position Summary
UVision Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Quality Control Inspector to support supplier quality initiatives and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety across manufacturing operations.
In this role, you will inspect incoming materials and assemblies to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on inspection experience, strong knowledge of metrology and GD&T, and the ability to identify and document nonconforming materials. This position may also support supplier corrective actions, material review boards, supplier audits, and on-site inspections.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
- Support the Quality team in maintaining and improving quality control systems, procedures, and compliance processes.
- Ensure adherence to aerospace and manufacturing quality standards.
Inspection & Testing
- Perform detailed inspections of:
- Electro-mechanical parts and assemblies
- Printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs)
- Cable assemblies
- Machined components and assemblies
- Composite materials
- Utilize metrology tools and inspection equipment to verify dimensional and functional conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing activities, and quality findings.
- Generate detailed nonconformance reports and support corrective action processes.
- Present findings to Material Review Boards (MRBs) when required.
Supplier Quality Support
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials and components meet established quality standards.
- Support supplier corrective action requests (SCARs), supplier audits, and occasional on-site inspections.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Technical diploma or Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent hands-on inspection experience.
- Experience using metrology and inspection equipment.
- Functional understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to commute daily to Stafford, VA (on-site role).
- Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.

Compensation
Salary Range: $60,000 – $80,000 annually
Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
