We are seeking an Analytics Engineer to help design and build scalable data systems that support financial applications and reporting workflows. This role will focus on transforming complex datasets into reliable, structured data pipelines and analytics solutions, including systems that support credit reporting and financial data operations.

Who You Are

  • You are passionate about working with data systems and analytics, and enjoy turning complex datasets into meaningful insights.
  • You have experience working with large and complex datasets, including transforming, validating, and modeling data for downstream use.
  • You are detail-oriented and understand that data accuracy and consistency are critical, especially in financial systems.
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable working with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • You are comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
  • You are eager to learn and grow within the fintech and data engineering space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models
  • Transform and structure raw data into clean, usable datasets for analytics and operational systems
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems
  • Support data workflows related to financial reporting and credit-related data processes
  • Work with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions
  • Integrate with third-party APIs and external data providers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies and pipeline issues
  • Contribute to automation, monitoring, and performance optimization of data systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2+ years experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or software development
  • Strong experience with:
  • Python for data processing and ETL workflows
  • Advanced SQL (joins, window functions, performance tuning)
  • Data modeling and pipeline design
  • Experience working with APIs and data integrations
  • Contribute to automation, monitoring, and performance optimization of data systems

Strongly Preferred:

  • Experience working with financial or fintech data systems
  • Exposure to credit reporting or credit bureau data (e.g., Metro 2)
  • Understanding of data quality, validation, and reconciliation processes
  • Experience working with consumer or transactional datasets

Nice to Have

  • Azure or other cloud platform experience
  • Experience building enterprise data platforms
  • Familiarity with regulated data environments
  • Payment processing or financial services background
