Branch International is Looking for:

We are looking for a hands-on Cloud Security Engineer to secure the infrastructure powering our global FinTech platform. In this role, you will work across cloud infrastructure, security engineering, and DevSecOps to identify risks, strengthen security guardrails, and embed security into engineering workflows.

You will focus on securing AWS environments, Kubernetes clusters, and CI/CD pipelines, while collaborating with platform, DevOps, and application teams to design systems resilient to real-world threats. The role requires someone who can think like an attacker but build like an engineer, using automation and best practices to improve security at scale.

You will work with engineering teams across India, the US, Nigeria, and Kenya to help build and secure a platform serving millions of users globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure attack surfaces across AWS, Kubernetes, and internal platforms
• Implement cloud security guardrails (IAM, network controls, secrets management)
• Integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines and automate vulnerability scanning
• Build automation/tools to detect issues like leaked secrets, excessive permissions, and insecure configs
• Conduct security design reviews, threat modeling, and incident investigations
• Improve visibility through logging, monitoring, and security signals

Qualifications

• 4–8 years in Cloud Security, DevSecOps, or Security Engineering
• Strong experience with AWS security (IAM, networking, access controls, logging)
• Experience securing Kubernetes and containerized environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD security, vulnerability scanning, and dependency security
• Ability to build automation using Python, Go, or similar languages
• Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code security
• Strong understanding of cloud and application security threats

Nice to Have

• Penetration testing, security research, or bug bounty experience
• Building internal security tooling or contributing to security open-source projects
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading security initiatives
